Title: ROF Channel Battles Edition.
Post by: =CfC=BlueDog on April 26, 2014, 09:34:25 AM
I see this is being offered on Steam.   Where does this fit into the scheme of things?   Does it have all the original ROF stuff plus extension, or is it an add on to a Steam version, or is it a stand alone in its own right?

Says it's not compatible with the non-steam version of ROF.

I think it is just the case that if you have a Steam version, planes and add-ons  that one purchased for the disc version cannot be used in Steam version.

Yeah - you will get whole new game - new account and so on.  Can't merge content.   It is still exactly the same game, though and you'll be able to fly online with both Steam and non-Steam Roffers.

That's a shame, would be nice to have my little collection on Steam. I'm certainly not purchasing all again just to have that convenience factor.

So do Steam Roffers get to fly on different servers to their non Steam counterparts?

As far as I know that is not the case

Thought as much, wouldn't make much sense otherwise.

BTW, enjoyed the Darkest Hour yesterday, that game still has a lot of life in it. Many thanks!
