Game Wont Load From Disk

A fella in my Staffel has had to reinstall his game and UP.  It wont run from the disc.  After searching the net it appears if you have this problem you need to go into the disc and run A.exe

I don't run my game from a disk. I think you don't need one if you have 409. I have looked for a no disk patch but can't find one. Your friend might have to reinstall his game.
EDIT: go to Game Copy World they have a no disk crack for IL-2 1946, good luck

If you buy the US version you don't need a disc to run the game, once it is installed.

I think Farber was advising a solution to the problem if we were to encounter it but all the additional info might help someone else having problems.

FYI I'm pretty sure that installing UP also gives you a no disk exe.

If you have your game backed up onto an external HD you never need to install from the disc again. After a reformat  or whatever just copy the game back onto your hard-drive and it will run.
